About the Teratom Mic Booster
The Teratom Mic Booster is a device capable of boosting the signal of microphones that have low gain, such as passive ribbon microphones and dynamic microphones.
Its circuit is completely discrete and linear, capable of boosting the signal by up to 30 dB without altering the sound characteristics of the microphones.
For the Teratom to work, it is necessary to enable the 48V Phantom Power of the device (external or interface preamp) to which it will be connected.
The fact that it uses Phantom Power does not interfere with the microphone that will be connected to the Teratom,
since its circuit is designed so that the phantom power does not exceed the circuit and does not reach the microphone.
This way, it is possible to use any passive or dynamic ribbon microphone.
The Teratom is assembled in a super small box, thus facilitating its handling and storage.
Its box is made of carbon steel with PU paint, providing high durability and insulation.
How to use
CONNECT THE MICROPHONE CABLE TO THE TERATOM'S "MIC" CONNECTION.
CONNECT A SECOND CABLE TO THE TERATOM'S "OUTPUT" CONNECTION AND THE OTHER
CONNECTION OF THIS
SAME CABLE TO THE INTERFACE PREAMP OR EXTERNAL PREAMP.
ACTIVATE THE PREAMP'S PHANTOM POWER SO THAT THE TERATOM IS ACTIVATED,
AND THIS WAY IT IS 100% READY TO BE USE.
Attention
DO NOT CONNECT CONDENSER MICROPHONES TO THE TERATOM.
