About the GL 1S Nano Compressor
We present our optical compressor based on the CL 1B, but in the Solid State version.
Inspired by the compression of the classic CL 1B, the Greenbox GL 1S circuit preserves the compression characteristics of the CL 1B, with the same signal flow in the sidechain.
Unlike the CL 1B, which has a tube signal flow, our GL 1S Nano is Solid State, presenting a cleaner sound characteristic and a very low noise level.
As it is a Nano (reduced) version, this equipment does not have the Knee, Sidechain Low Cut and Color controls like our GL 1B. Therefore, these functions are fixed as in the original Tube-Tech CL 1B.
The output stage of the GL 1S Nano has a Greenbox 600:600 audio transformer, which balances the signal and also provides sound coloration in the highs, making the sound cleaner and brighter.
An analog meter reads the gain reduction of the equipment as the compression controls are adjusted.
On the back of the equipment there is a P10 connector for linking two GL 1S Nano simultaneously, and thus using both with linked compression.
The input and output connections are all balanced TRS type.
