The audio transformers, carefully engineered with the same characteristics as the original Pultec, ensure that signal integrity is preserved from the beginning to the end of the audio stream. The equalization controls, identical to the Pultec EQP-1A, have been enhanced with two options for the low frequencies (25Hz and 80Hz), offering the flexibility to attenuate or add gain in these ranges, something not present in the original model. In addition, the ATTEN SEL switch now includes the 3kHz frequency, providing an even more versatile sonic palette.
Surprisingly, our EQG-1A goes beyond the Pultec EQP-1A by including a gain knob on the back of the equipment, providing additional control and making it even more complete. This equalizer is not just a reproduction, but an evolution, offering additional possibilities to elevate your mixes and recordings.
The inductors we use in the EQG-1A are made by MGS especially for Greenbox. The inductors are manufactured with precision so that all equipment has the same sound.
