About the GLA-3A Compressor
We present the GLA-3A, a 2-channel compressor inspired by the classic LA-3A.
With a Compress/Limit switch per channel, you can switch between softer or more aggressive compression, limiting higher signal peaks.
With another Link switch, you can link the sidechains of the two channels, and thus use the compressor in Stereo mode; but, if you prefer the compressor to act on the independent channels, simply turn this switch off.
In the audio signal stage, we added the classic 2N3055 transistor, to give a special touch to the equipment, achieving more transparent and crystal-clear sounds.
The GLA-3A has an input and output transformer per channel. The input transformer is made of Permalloy, and offers high isolation capacity and high sound quality. At the output, there is a 600:600 transformer, delivering high performance in signal balancing.

We used the LA-3A compression circuit as a base and some details from the LA-4A. This fusion resulted in an even more versatile and efficient compressor, mainly because it has a Compress/Limit control. With a sidechain composed of transistors also used in the LA-3A, our GLA-3A offers efficient compression capable of being used in countless situations, whether on vocals or any other instrument.
